After two GOP debates that made Kennedy-Nixon seem tame, Spitzer & Matalin agree that Romney blew it by having no good answer on releasing his tax returns. Mary has a suggestion for Mitt to get off the defensive — give a paid 30 minute address on all networks on “the moral basis of capitalism” (think Ross Perot meets John Galt). They also clash on whether Newt played the race card in South Carolina (a black man the best “food stamp president”?) and whether the Keystone decision was about economics, the environment, or politics.
